A Little Love Letter
When I first sat down to write this post, I had planned an in-depth discussion about Seward’s Day and the calculus behind celebrating certain holidays.
Instead, it turned into an exercise in gratitude.
Gratitude for my friends, family, and community.
Gratitude for deep relationships, good health, and a full life.
Gratitude for you reading this right now.
Lately, I’ve been writing about (at least what I consider) important causes, each published with an ingrained sense of urgency.
I’m going to continue to do that, but wanted to take a break and a breath today to celebrate all that we have here in front of us.
Sometimes the night is dark and full of terrors.
Sometimes the day is bright and full of love.
“Life is beautiful not because of the things we see or the things we do. Life is beautiful because of the people we meet.”

Happy Monday, and I hope you have a good start to your week.
